So you can't say I never post:
1. What is your ultimate favorite kind of cookie? Do you usually bake them yourself or buy them somewhere? Why are they your favorite?
Maria Krapfen, which my Grandma may have invented. We make them every year at Christmas. I have to make them myself because my Mama can't make them any more because of her arthritis, so this year I'll be hauling my stand mixer to my apartment to bake them. I wonder how well my tiny kitchen will serve me?
2. Tell us which type of cookies you prefer. Chewy? Crispy? No-bake? Cookie bars? Or something else?
I Like all kinds of cookies, especially chewy ones.
3. Do you bake cookies often, or do you prefer to buy them? Do you have any special secrets for making awesome cookies? Have you ever entered a cookie contest?
Don't bak cookies often, but I like homemade cookies better. No blanket secrets, just secret recipes. Never entered a cookie contest.
4. What do you like to eat or drink along with your cookies? [For example, milk, tea, coffee, ice cream, etc.]
Milk!
5. Will you be baking any cookies for the upcoming holiday season? Why/why not? Are there any traditional cookie recipes in your family? [Feel free to share a recipe with us if you'd like.]
Honig Busserl (or Pfeffernuesse is what they're called at the store); Maria Krapfen, maybe some Zigeuner Bogatschl, and of course a Dobos Torte (that's what our wedding cake was!)
