Blasts from the past

A few months ago, I went to a wedding, where an acquaintance told me of a blog run by a high school friend.
Today I was bored and did a little Google search, and found another one.
After speaking to more than a handful of people I hadn't spoken to in a while last week, I don't think I've done so much reconnecting in years!

Dancing the night away

Last night we went to a "dancing club." It's not the kind you think. There were 3 couples around our age, and then all the rest were at least 40 years older than us. (And there were maybe 10 couples) But we got to practice dancing, and ask our dance teachers if we needed help. I think we are best at fox trot, right now that's the one we remember the most steps to, though Alice was able to refresh us on Tango, but when we practiced afterwards in the parking lot, we couldn't remember the right tempo. We also got to use our rusty swing dancing that we learned in college, but it is the "easy swing" compared with the others who teach a more complicated form. I will say that given the chance, and with not gym shoes, K is a pretty creative lead!

We were also fortunate to watch a few others who are ahead of us, and I have hope we will be reasonably competent by the wedding, so we'll have them play some songs that can be danced to!

I don't know if it is pathetic or not, that K and I were the first to head home, at 11pm, and we were outlasted by a bunch of 80 year olds. Oh well!
